I wanted to share these pictures Alisia took of our guest room, because they are so much better than the ones I did a couple of years ago. This is one of my favorite rooms in our house. It’s teeny tiny but so cozy.
I wanted to share a few things I like to do for house guests. I don’t always get to all of them, if it’s a particularly busy week. But I try!
-  Text them the wifi code before they get there. Also keep it written on a notepad in the room.
- I try to keep the nightstand with fresh flowers, snacks, and waters. A bible, magazine, some pens and paper in a basket too.
- If kids are coming, I try to leave a little surprise for them. Something from the target dollar spot. or from my stash of little kid gifts.
- I want our guests to feel like they can come and go as much as they want, so they have keys/codes, etc. I also want them to feel like (since they are the only ones on the downstairs air conditioner) that they can crank it down or up, however they like.
- I usually text to see if they are allergic to any food, want anything from the store like almond milk for their coffee, etc.., and ask if they are allergic to down comforters/pillows so I can switch them out if they are.
- I see what I need to add or clean out the guest room medicine cabinet. Â
- I have a little wireless charger ready to go in there, which doesn’t discriminate between an iphone or a samsung.
- I don’t typically use dryer sheets, but I do on my guests sheets to make them super soft.
- Sometimes we have guests that get in late, and if you know me, you know I’m asleep. I always make sure they have the code to get in, leave a little candle on, and the light in the room on too.
- We also have a TV in their room, which doesn’t always get used. But it’s nice to have in case they just want to veg out for a bit after traveling.
