Most of our time in Vienna was spent eating somewhere and then walking it off.  Since we had both been there before we didn’t feel like we really had to see anything but just wanted to enjoy the city.  It is such a beautiful one!

Here are some of the places we ate / sights we saw:

  1.  Blue Mustard – Their slogan is something like “we’re not a restaurant.  we are an EXPERIENCE.”  And I would say that’s pretty true.  Dinner was delicious and it certainly was a fun experience.
  2. zum schwarzen camel – great place for people watching.  We had breakfast here and the service was amazing.
  3. figlmuller – JB wanted some traditional Schnitzel and this is one of the best places you can get it.
  4. Pfudl – We ate here last time we were in Vienna, and loved it.  We wondered if we’d still feel the same way and we did!
  5. Salon Plafond – Such a fun restaurant/bar.  Has a very berlin feel to it.  The perfect place to go on a nice night as they have lots of outdoor seating.
  6. Naschmarkt – A great spot to people watch over a coffee.  A farmers market that’s been going since the 16th century.
  7. Saw The Kiss by Klimt at Belvedere
  8. Visited Saint Stephen’s Cathedral

We took the subway everywhere and it was one of the easiest to navigate – and also very clean and we never had to wait more than a few minutes.  We were lucky to have two nights in Vienna!  All of the Hapsburg touches make it a real wonder.  Have you been?  What else did you see?  We had planned on doing an opera or a concert but ended up passing on it.  Next time I’d really like to go!
