Our Laundry Room Renovation
While we have workshopped moving the laundry room somewhere else in our home, nothing really gave us a great option. And I did not want to put it in the garage!
I do laundry every day almost without fail, and while I don’t love that it’s exposed, it works as I’m usually in the kitchen/laundry/upstairs during my days.
In an ideal world, I’d have the laundry upstairs. But I’m more than happy with how this spot turned out!
Selects for the laundry room:
I had beadboard put on the ceiling and painted White Dove by Benjamin Moore.
For lighting I used this one from Lulu & Georgia “Kalani Flush Mount light”
Initially we used our old washer and dryer, but after the hurricanes they both started shorting out. So we ended up getting new GE profile. So far, I love them. My favorite part is I can put detergent in once probably every two weeks! Saves a bit of time for sure on each load.
The cabinets are the sage green our cabinet company offered. So I’m sorry – I don’t have a true match! They also installed the bar, which is great for hanging. Though I don’t hang dry too many things!
On the opposite side is an appliance garage, and storage for the canned goods and dry goods I consistently use.
The wallpaper is called “sweet pea” by Cole & Son
The plates are vintage wedgewood I picked up thrifting!
