I love Ikea. I get incredibly excited when we go. I could spend days in here, and still feel like I need to see more. The first time I went to one was when we were living in Switzerland. From then on, I was hooked! Once we were back in the states, we bought our first couch at Ikea (the white ektorp). Today it is four years old, a bit beat up but still a good sport, and now resides in the playroom. Every curtain in our house is from Ikea – their linen looks great and it’s inexpensive. Which is why we headed back up there this weekend – to pick up some curtains for the playroom. While there here were some things I was hemming and hawing over. A few that came home with me (:
Linen Curtains: These are the curtains we have in most of the rooms in our house. People ask me about where they are from quite frequently when they are visiting, and are surprised to find out – ikea!
This cute dollhouse: I was so close to buying this for my goddaughter for when she visits. Maybe next time!
Belly Baskets: I have belly baskets that look SO much like this one. for 5 times the price!! JB laughs at how many baskets we have… it’s actually pretty ridiculous. But they are all used. No empty baskets around here, ever. I will find a job for them!
Greenhouse: This would be perfect for herbs in a kitchen. Love the look.
Umbrella: This umbrella would be great on our deck. It is enormous and looks to be heavy duty!
french looking chair pad: I bought for of these to go in our breakfast nook, to make the wooden chairs a bit more comfy. They look great! The ones from RH are 4 times the price.
Box: this would make an adorable storage solution.
bamboo pendant lamp: They had three or four of these up over a long table and it looked SO good. I was racking my brain trying to find a place where we needed one of these. They’re gorgeous.
gingham pillows: $6! are you kidding me? These are so cute! I bought a couple for our bedroom. JB had to laugh – another pillow? (: #lovemypillows
Crane with blocks: This is an adorable toy. I just love the colors too. Both boys loved playing with this over the weekend.
