One of my goals this January was to finally put a new fan in our bedroom.  Honestly, that was goal number one when we moved in.  But it’s funny how you get used to an old fan, and it doesn’t bother you as much.  But it was hideous!  I’ll show y’all the before and after on instastories.  Plus I am a person who loves a fan while sleeping.  Maybe it is a Florida thing since we always have them in rooms.  They’re also the poor mans sound machine.  I love them so much that hotel stays without fans can make it tricky for me to catch some sleep.

Choosing what to put in our old fans place was difficult, as there’s not a ton of beautiful fan/light combos out there.  Though I immediately loved the Schoolhouse ceiling fan from Lamps Plus(c/o). And I know remote controls are nothing new, but being able to turn it off in the morning from the comfort of my warm cozy bed, is so nice.

This room still needs:

bamboo shades (thank you to the reader that sent me good recommendations!)

raise the curtain rods – though I’d  also really love to paint them, or even get some new ones.  These curtain rods came with the house.
