JB calls most of my weird crunchy ways either voodoo or witchcraft.  He’ll usually partake in whatever wackadoodle thing I swear by, but he lets his opinions be known.  I say usually because that might all be stopping after I recently forced some apple cider vinegar down him … I think all trust is out the window at the moment.  

But let’s talk about something I’ve made him a believer of… 

Sovereign Silver first aid gel is something that comes along with me on trips, it’s always in my medicine cabinet, and it’s even shown up in my diaper bag recently.  It has just a tiny amount of silver  in it which has a ton of natural healing properties to it.  But what do I use it for?  Well, for the obvious – any cuts.  But mostly for bug bites – mosquito bites to be specific. 

And I’ll digress here but have you seen the commercial with tina fey in which she says “I have the chin of a teenager”… well, it always makes me giggle.  Because I am thirty, with a chin of a teenager.  Side note:  My mom can’t bear to say the word pimple or zit, they are simply “bumps” to her.  But at her suggestion I used some of this on one nasty bump and it healed so much quicker.  Then Tuck had a mysterious little rash on his legs a week or so ago and my doctor had prescribed some antibiotics.  But I tried silver first annnnnd poof!  rash is no where to be found.  

So I am a full on believe!   I pretty much say “put some silver on it” as much as I say “put some coconut oil on it” around here.   You can read more about the benefits and other uses for silver here!  Anyone else use it for anything interesting?  Any other crunchy-witchdoctory thing I need to try?
