Some snippets from our memorial day weekend down in Boca Grande. It’s so pretty there!
Pictures do it little justice.
++ some completely random thoughts…
1. I can’t be the only person living in a small town who loathes a trip to the grocery store because I don’t want to see everyone and their brother. JB thinks this is one of my most bizarre introverted quirks. It just exhausts me sometimes to say hello and make small talk like ten times before I get to the cash register. {now sometimes I’m up for it! but most of the time I’m looking like a hot mess and just wanna get my groceries and get outta there.} Small/hometown problems. Also #hermitcrabproblems. Tuck makes this an impossibility. The introvert in me dies a little, but obviously all the hi’s and bye’s are endearing so I roll with it.
We often tell him “you don’t have to campaign so hard, they already like you” … but he’s still smiling, making sure everyone gets a “hieeee” and of course a “bye!!”
Today when I picked him up from my gyms childcare (which, go me! because it’s been hard for me to utilize it), I asked how he did and she said he just sat by the window and said hello to everyone that passed by. of course.
2. The striped dress I’m wearing is by Mott50. It’s a fashionable + comfy + UPF 50 + lightweight clothing line that I love. The heat index was in the 90’s when we went for an early dinner, and I was sure I’d be scalding in a long sleeve dress. But the bamboo/spandex managed to keep me cool even when we didn’t get a seat in the shade. Read all about why UPF clothing is amazing right here!
3. All of our inspections have gone great and we are still on for closing mid June.
excited is an understatement.
4. I am starting to pack- and will definitely be doing a clothing sale… depending on how long Tuck naps, maybe today.
5. Warning: not the most fun topic. my PSA for the day: buy organic tampons! think about it. enough said.
and that’s all the random I’ve got (;
well, that I can spit out anyway.
hope you have a happy day!!
