Our coffee table / ottoman is busted. It’s been a whole host of things – a boat, turned around and popped all of the barrier out, a choo choo train, part of an epic fort, a soft space to jump onto the couches from… I could go on and on. It’s been good to us. No black eyes had and all. Which is a success in my book. It’s held up really well on top. It’s the perfect color for little boys – “olive” aka dirt. BUT every time we have someone over I always feel the need to be like, so sorry, there’s some strings coming out of the bottom and some other pieces, and it’s just a general hot mess. It also isn’t right for the space. It’s a touch too small. But I’m at a loss – do I get another tufted ottoman? There is one at RH Anne recommends and she can attest to it holding up to two boys (her own). But I’m not sure if it is the right size too. And dropping that kind of coin, even though it’s worth every penny, is hard. I also wonder if our rug is too much in there. But that’s a post for another day.
I love the acrylic one, especially the one with some brass to it. But am I past the ottoman phase? honestly I do hope for another kid, and would want that one to feel just as free in our house as my two have. Deep thoughts for a Saturday morning. lol.
Would love to know what you think and if you think any of these are winners.
