Something about school starting and cooler months ahead has me wanting to pick up a few pieces to refresh my wardrobe. To be clear, down in Florida, it won’t actually cool off for quite a while. So, I may have to pack my bags soon in search of fall weather! But even in Florida, I like to tone my colors down and change some fabrics out as we transition to fall. I might even put away a few of my raffia and linen pieces to bid farewell to summer!
One of my favorite places to shop, no matter the season, has always been Saks Fifth Avenue. I love the variety of styles they offer for everything from daily wear to special occasion pieces. Plus, they carry some of my favorite brands, including Staud and Veronica Beard, and they have free shipping and returns! Their current selection has beautiful new arrivals that can be worn now, as well as into early fall. I’ve rounded up some of my recent Saks Fifth Avenue favorites below!
Shades of Fall
One of my favorite ways to kick off the fall transition period is by choosing autumn hues in lighter fabrics. This is a great way to feel fall-ish, even if it’s still 90 degrees outside.
Americana for Fall
Americana is everywhere right now, and I’m sure part of this is due to the Olympics! Personally, I’m loving all of the red, white, and blue styles popping up.
I feel like red, specifically, is having a moment this year. Right before we left Spain, I saw tons of red in their stores, and I think we will see a lot more of it this fall. A perk of this is that you will be able to wear these pieces for the holidays too! This Staud shirtdress is a favorite style of mine, and I love the new red version. Another piece I’m loving in this shade? This classic Ralph Lauren striped button down. Not only do these shirts always look so chic, but there’s something about them that gives a big back to school nod!
Polo Bear Sweaters
Embellishments
Another trend that I’ve recently noticed is embellishments. I’ve seen rhinestones on jackets, sweaters, tees, jeans…basically everything! I think this trend will only continue to grow as we roll from summer to fall and the holidays.
Early Fall Styles
While I never want to rush summer to an end, I am excited to get back into our school year routine and for the weather to eventually cool down. In the meantime, I’ll be transitioning my wardrobe to fall colors in lightweight fabrics. You can shop all of my recent favorites from Saks Fifth Avenue below!
