Hola from Spain!   The boys did great on the flight over, and slept most of the way.  We used a lot of the busy bag items for the time in the airport while we were waiting on our flight and connecting flight.  Our apartment is teeny tiny, but it works!  And it’s very close to their school.  also a huuuuge bonus – we have a washing machine… I didn’t think we had one, and thought most of the time while they were in school I’d be spending it at a laundromat.  The boys love their school, and I promise to share ALL about it once we’re done with this month.  From my DM’s on instagram, it looks like if we do this next year, I may see some of y’all here!  (:  Last night, after just four days of school, my oldest son asked my husband (who is fluent) complete questions in correct grammar in Spanish.  Without us asking him to use Spanish!  The boys are eager to learn, and eager to chat it up at the playgrounds or dinner.  What I seem to love the most about San Sebastian is how family oriented it is.  My friend Jessica told us this, but I didn’t realize just how much until it was until getting here.  Kids are expected to be kids here, playing after their dinner while adults aren’t hurried to finish but just watch them from their table.  Two evenings ago we used Flytographer (a concept I was familiar with, but was thrilled when they contacted to gift us a session).  And the pics are already back!  Flytographer has photographers they have vetted and worked with, available to hire in most vacation destinations.  I was so excited when I searched San Sebastian, and it popped up!  With Flytographer you can get that family pic, or engagement pic, or honeymoon photos captured without having to research photographers, contact them, etc.  They do all the work!  I loved the whole experience.  We just spent the hour with Alejandro, a native to the Basque region, walking and enjoying the city.  You can see for yourself – and if you’re interested in booking a flytographer for your next vacation, you can use sarahgtucker50 for $50 off your first session.
