While I used to think Valentine’s Day was a little cheesy … I’ve since changed my tune!  I love love, and you don’t need to ask me twice to celebrate the ones closest to me.  Which includes my Galentine’s!  There’s something special about hosting an event that celebrates the women that have been there for you.  So if you are hosting a Galentine’s Day event, here are a few ways how!

Galentine’s day Dinner

Dress the table to the nines, light all of your tapers, and…. order takeout!  If you go this direction, you can make a delicious cheese board for grazing, then make it easy on yourself and order in.

Galentine’s Day Brunch

I’m a big fan of this set up- and we hung the hearts up high, which is where they have stayed all February long!  Have your girls over for brunch on a Saturday.  Don’t forget the Prosecco!

Galentine’s Day movie night!

A rom com movie night is only as good as the snacks!  I loved making popcorn, and sprinkling pink and red M&M’s in the bowl.  Here we included heart shaped shortbread, cookies, heart jelly beans, and some petit fours.

Post drop off breakfast Galentine’s 

Come as you are after drop off, even in your jammies, but just wear all of the hearts/ pinks/reds!  I loved this XO waffle  maker – total sucker for themed waffles (:  They are foolproof- plus I use the Paleo power pancakes, and they are delicious.   For these type of stuff I focus on things I can prep the night before, like a frittata, and baked bacon – both things I can just pop in the oven when I’m getting the kids off to school.  Valentine’s themed donuts from Dunkin are always welcome on our table too!

And I hope you know that you don’t have to have a fancy tablescape or cook a thing – the most important thing is getting together with your girlfriends and celebrating friendship!
