Anne in a few words: peace-loving, colorphile, creative, curious, non-conformist
Who were your role models growing up? Hmmm, that’s a difficult one as I had different role models at different stages. I guess I’d have to say primarily my Mother and Grandmother as both have modeled strong women who are nurturing and the anchor of their homes, but had strong creative drives (art, decorating, cooking, etc.) as well. On a humorous aside, as a teen I idolized Princess Diana and copied her hair (though somewhat poorly) LOL.
What inspires you? My relationship with Jesus is the driving force behind my love of beauty and general inspiration in life – that is what stabilizes me and drives me.
Living in Florida, with the beautiful light, climate and Ocean.
I love Palm Beach Regency and the nostalgic influence of the retro Florida style.
Instagram, Pinterest and fellow artists and designers.
I am a foodie and travel buff and am inspired by visiting new places. I have a strong “explorer” streak and am very stimulated and inspired by these new experiences.
Favorite book:
Hands down, the Bible….with various design books and literary classics as well. I like books that challenge my thinking and help me develop as a person.
What does a normal day look like for you? Most days, I wake and spend some quiet time reading, meditating and praying to get grounded and focused for the day.
After that, I get some coffee and breakfast and read over my emails and news, etc.
I get dressed and start work answering emails, preparing orders to ship and mapping out the rest of my day.
I eat lunch at around 12:30 (I’m one of those people who needs food to function – if I skip meals I go brain-dead and feel terrible)
Sometimes I go for a swim after lunch if my schedule allows and the weather cooperates.
Afternoons, I get cracking again and run to the post office and do some errands or work on a painting.
I usually make something for an early-ish dinner around 5:30 – 6
After dinner, I usually work a bit more until I hit the shower and then chill out catching a TV program or two while I check and update my social media on my phone.
I like to head to bed around 10ish as that seems to work the best for me as far as getting a great night’s sleep.
Favorite Verse or quote:
Psalm 33:20-22New International Version (NIV)
20 We wait in hope for the Lord;
he is our help and our shield.
21 In him our hearts rejoice,
for we trust in his holy name.
22 May your unfailing love be with us, Lord,
even as we put our hope in you.
Favorite Vacation Spot: Bermuda or London
Where do you see yourself in ten years? I honestly have no idea where I will be in 10 years, but I know as I keep God as my focus, love my family and those in my life, work hard and stay consistent, I can’t go wrong!
Have a great Thursday!!
