Lately…

Listening:  Just finished Lilac Girls on Audible.  Shows the best and absolute worst of humanity.  Based off of true stories.  Now listening to Parenting:14 gospel principles to radically change your family by David Paul Tripp.  So very good (and tough at times!)

Reading:  I’m reading The Swiss Family Robinson to the boys at night.  Just a couple chapters (they are short) a night.  Tuck is so into it.  Wes usually just looks at other books during.  So we make sure and read one of his picks after we finish.

Cooking:  I’m still doing hello fresh twice a week, and loving it.  Going strong for 3 months now!  I’ve been loving these birch benders pancakes for in the morning.

Moving:  I’ve been working out with my sister about 2-3 times a week for a couple months now.   My fitbit is so motivating to me… it is funny to me how obsessed I am with it.  I am also going to try pickle ball this month.  I’ve heard it’s fun!

projects around the house:  changing up our living room a bit.  I think for mother’s day I’m asking for a new mirror above the fireplace — then moving that mirror to our bedroom.  We are also talking about renovating our playroom – to make it into more of a den.  It’s a major project because lots would need to be blown out.  It’s seriously the eye sore of the century.  So I need to look into contractors and all of that!  I’m also working on a mother’s day post for you all!  hope to have that up by next week at the latest.

Trying to:  declutter.  I joined in on emily ley’s ruthless declutter challenge, but last week was a crazy one… so need to continue what I started.  I have Salvation Army (that I scheduled last week) to pick up today.  So have to get on it.

What we’re up to with the boys:  Tee Ball.  I’m up at the ball field a couple times a week.  Wes loves playing with all of the kids, so I’m lucky if I get to see my big boy when he’s at bat.  But it’s been fun to watch Tuck play and JB coach.  Wes just started swim again.  He is such a fearless little fish.  Can now dive to pick things off the bottom of the pool.

Trips:  We are headed to Amelia Island next month on my first official press trip.  I am soo excited!  Any must do’s?

Planning:  our summer schedule.  Signed Tuck up for sailing school one week!  Also sport camp for both boys and VBS for a week.
