The Mother In Law gift guide

mother in law gift guide christmas holiday

This guide was Theeee most requested, by far.  And when I asked what were the challenges surrounding it… I got a ton of different responses.  Ranging from – they have it all, or REALLY expensive taste, or they are minimalists, or just march to the beat of their own drum.

The holidays can be hard in ways that feel so surprising because it should be such a joyous time of year.  And I think at the root of that can be the expectations we cling to, even when it’s not healthy for us.  I encourage everyone to just give liberally, ungrudgingly, and intentionally, with no expectations.  As long as you’re doing that, you can feel great about what you give.  Annnnyway, climbing off my soapbox here … I couldn’t capture every MIL personality, but here are a few of my no fail/no offend gifts.  If you’re looking for something really personal – these are my most thoughtful gifts to give.  This is a grandparent gift guide, perfect for those that are sentimental (i.e. me !)
