Mother’s Day is less than three weeks away, which means it’s time to start planning those gifts! Mother’s Day gift guides are one of my favorite things to put together each year. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful mother and mother-in-law who are not only blessings to me but also to my children. I love taking this opportunity to show them how much they mean to all of us by gifting them something special. I’ve shared many Mother’s Day gift ideas in the past including personalized gifts for mom (order these immediately!), gift ideas to send to your husband and traditional Mother’s Day gifts. This year I’m breaking it down into six main categories to help you shop for every type of mom on your list!
Gift Ideas for Every Mom
There are so many different types of women to shop for – new moms, grandmothers, “sporty” moms, moms that are homebodies, and the list goes on and on. Today I’m going to share Mother’s Day gift ideas for six categories: luxury gifts under $50, pickleball obsessed, for the gardener, tried and true gifts, wellness-focused, and general Mother’s Day gifts that every mom will love. Many of these gift ideas are ones that I own and love or are on my wishlist!
For the Mom Who’s Pickleball Obsessed
Pickleball is all the rage right now and I’ve fallen victim. It’s just so fun! If you’re shopping for a mom who likes being active, these gifts are definitely worth checking out! First up, she will need all the cute equipment such as this blue gingham pickleball paddle or this pretty floral pickleball set that includes two paddles, a ball, and a carry case. You could throw in some pink pickleballs and this pickleball bag or this tennis racket cover to carry everything around. And of course, dressing the part is half of the pickleball fun! This blue-striped women’s performance sleeveless polo and this seersucker skort are two pieces I own and love, along with this cute white and green tennis dress. Complete the look with a monogrammed baseball hat or a Lorna Murray hat and these blue and green OnCloud tennis shoes (hurry, they’re quickly selling out!)
Mother’s Day Gift Ideas for the Gardener
I always feel like garden-themed Mother’s Day gifts are a safe bet, especially for grandmas and mothers-in-law. The holiday falls on the perfect time of the year for gardening and even if the recipient doesn’t actually garden herself, floral-printed items or a bouquet of flowers is always a great idea!
For moms who are avid gardeners, I love these $9 sage green pruners, these $4 sage green garden gloves, these pollinator seeds packets, these floral and butterfly planters, and this sun hat for sun protection. If you’re wanting to gift flowers this Mother’s Day, this under $100 fresh-cut bouquet is absolutely beautiful along with this handpainted vase. You could also gift garden-themed kitchen items to a mom who enjoys hosting. This floral tablecloth, these $14 floral mugs, this beautiful green and blue floral apron, and this lilypad kitchen platter are all wonderful Mother’s Day gift ideas.
Wellness-Focused Mother’s Day Gift Ideas
The older I get, the more I have come to really appreciate my body, and taking care of myself has become a top priority. Personally, I always appreciate a wellness-focused gift and I think a lot of other moms would as well. We can all use a little more relaxation and “me-time”!
Starting with beauty products, this skin hydration kit, this LED Gua Sha facial massager, this rose quartz Gua Sha, this skin activator serum, and this facial treatment mask are all products I own and love or are on my wish list. For my hair, I love this salt scalp scrub shampoo and this leave-in hair mask. And this silk pillowcase and these Pima cotton pajamas or these pointelle pajamas make wonderful Mother’s Day gifts for any type of mom!
Mother’s Day Gift Ideas Under $50
I know oftentimes we are buying gifts not only for our own mothers, but also for friends who are new mamas, grandparents, and other mothers who have made an impact on our lives. The cost can quickly add up! The good news is if you’re looking to stay within a budget this Mother’s Day, there are some excellent gift options under $50.
For mothers who enjoy hosting and home decor, this $38 floral handpainted vase and these $14 floral mugs are both beautiful. Young moms will enjoy this stylish belt bag and these fun statement earrings. This hand-braided woven sun hat is adorable and affordable. And every mom could use a new hair towel and a cute personalized family planner and notecards to stay organized!
My Tried & True Mother’s Day Gifts
As much as I love browsing all of the new Mother’s Day possibilities each year, there are a few gift ideas that I always come back to. These are Mother’s Day gifts that I have given to my own mother and/or MIL and they are always so appreciated – I highly recommend them all!
First up, you can’t go wrong with a special framed photo. I love this gold bamboo picture frame – you simply upload your photo and they ship it with the photo inside! There is nothing sweeter than a personalized gift and I’m obsessed with everything Tricia Lowenfield designs. I’ve gifted this cache pot with grandchildren’s pictures on the front and it made for such a sweet gift. Other personalized favorites include a custom family watercolor illustration and a vintage tea towel with a handwritten recipe on it. Heads up…if you’re wanting to gift something custom this Mother’s Day, now is the time to order! If it’s past the deadline, a Weezie bathrobe and this incredibly soft knit cape are two other favorite Mother’s Day gift ideas that will still arrive in time.
Gifts Every Mom Will Love
Last, but certainly not least, I have rounded up a few gift ideas that every mom will love. If you haven’t found the perfect gift in any of the other categories, these options might be the one for you!
- A new tote bag/purse: This navy woven check tote bag is on my wish list and this large woven tote bag is a similar (equally as cute) option! This smaller straw bag is the perfect neutral for spring and summer.
- Accessories: This Jane Win Faith pendant necklace is beautiful (this Sisters Coin is another Jane Win favorite.) And I love this personalized travel jewelry box. You can’t go wrong with a wide-brimmed sunhat.
- Kitchen Items: I think every mom appreciates new kitchen items. This lilypad serving platter and matching lilypad pitcher are so pretty. And this handpainted shell-shaped platter is absolutely beautiful! When in doubt, a Le Crueset Dutch oven or a Staub cocotte are always great gift ideas.
- Artwork: I am swooning over this hand-painted ceramic tile art!
- Beach Essentials: This Weezie beach towel is a favorite in our family.
- Mother’s Day Card: Don’t forget to buy a card – This $5 one is so cute!
