I would be so lucky if I just turned into my mother, even just a little bit, I’ll take what I can get. She is the worlds most beautiful human – in all ways. Her birthday falls usually a day before or after, and sometimes on Mother’s Day. God gave her an appropriate birthday. I always try to go above and beyond for her birthday and Mother’s Day. It’s like the kid that’s born on Christmas, so you really try to make his birthday extra special. As I’ve gotten older it’s so easy to shop for my mom – it has pretty much turned into things I want myself. So here’s my Mother’s Day picks!
Cards: First things first, get the perfect card. You could skip a gift with my mom, but a card – never. Etsy is good for this. I love this one. So true! But I went with Pinhole’s personalized cards. Both my mama and Mother in Law display these from past Mother’s Day/Valentine’s/Easter all around their homes, so I think they like them. Plus they are max two dollars – the quality is great, love their simple designs and mama gets something personalized. Minted also does personalized mother’s day cards – they are just a bit more expensive though they have really cute designs. I sent a bunch of my girlfriends momma’s day cards through postable (where I store all of my addresses) this year – couldn’t be easier to let them know what a great job as a mama they are doing. I feel like I don’t tell people that as much as I should! You can use code mom2015 for free postage.
Flowers- good for every mom! Bloom2Bloom Flowers: These come tied up in brown paper, with beautiful blooms, and each bouquet gives back to someone in need. They sent me a bouquet for Wesley’s arrival, and I loved them- especially as they opened up more and more every day. This month for every bouquet purchased they’ll be decorating with another one in a teens hospital room. You can use code: WESLEY25 to take 25% off your floral purchase.
perfect for a new mom: JSxBabyBuggy: $5 of this super soft shirt (works pregnant or not) goes to helping America’s most vulnerable families. motherhood maternity sent me one and I can personally attest to how soft it is.
perfect for a nursing mama: a personalized water bottle, and loads of snacks.
for the gardener: I’m in love with everything terrain but especially their planters.
for the mom that’s obsessed with unbreakable and it’s theme song (hi- that’s me!): this mug.
for a little spa like treat: I use this routine once a month and it makes a big difference in my skins appearance.
for a toddler mom: the book, “reasons my kid is crying“
for the hostess: this cheese board is beautiful!
for something personalized: I got a picture from when wes and tuck met made in this setting. $29 is a great price for something like this, as I love some of the frames. snapbox prints also intrigue me. anyone used them before?
And if you aren’t close to your mother, I bet there’s someone in your life you could give this card to!
Happiest weekend to you!!
