My friend and talented sarasota photographer Naomi Chokr asked me a few weeks ago to style a set for the fabulous The Three Kitcheneers, and I immediately said YES! Then I saw the photos of the set I’d be styling, and lawdamercy… hello dream kitchen. It is like my pinterest board “dream abode” came to life. It’s also for sale! {JB, you better work hard! i kid. sort of.} It was even more icing on the cake to hear Eri Vincent would be doing the make up, and Influence Style would be providing the clothes. Hi there dream team.
Inspired by the set and The Three Kitcheneers we came up with an edible arrangement. Set in an heirloom milk glass bowl was living peppermint, thyme, rosemary, and lavender. The trick here was to make sure it had some dirt to keep it from going brown. I set the table with more heirloom china, and placed a piece of dried lavender in between the glass plate and the charger. Each piece of vintage silverware was different- made for an eclectic feel. While the girls were cooking we placed charlotte’s jadeite all around, kraft paper down for the baking (love this texture), and various pieces all over. I carefully selected each piece – thinking, nothing can be ordinary. Which usually means a piece from my grandmother, or something that caught my eye at a flea market.
It was how all shoots should be. Fun and relaxed but still getting the job done well. I caught myself in stitches laughing from all of the girls. Seriously, if you need to lose some calories just hope over and watch a couple of these webisodes of The Three Kitcheneers.
Lots more of these beauties on Naomi’s Blog!
Love the clothes? of course you do. good news –
each piece can be purchased at Influence Style online.
happy, happy thursday!
