I’m finally getting to sharing our Venice trip – Here’s my post about our first part of our trip in Rome.  If you’d like to see everything I wore during this trip, I have that post here. Â
I traveled with our family – myself, my husband, and our tween and teen sons. We all had a fantastic trip! To me, anywhere in Italy is always a fantastic idea.Â
WHY VENICE WITH KIDS
I went to Venice around the boys ages, and it was so memorable. I remember being immediately enchanted. There’s no where on earth like it! The light just hits differently there too. Â
Where to stay in VENICE
We stayed at the St. Regis in Venice. I could not have loved the location more, the ginori plates, the view of the canal from our room. But I’m not sure I can say with 100% certainty that it’s worth the hefty price tag.  Still, if you can do this property on points through Marriott, go for it! Â
Venice Activities
We were just there for a couple of nights. And I never want to push it too hard with my kids! But weÂ
SOCCER in front of the St. Marks BasilicaÂ
We parked ourselves in front of St. Marks Basilica to eat ice cream, while the boys played some soccer (with a view). I wish we would have gone inside St. Marks Basilica, but the tickets were sold out by the time I thought of it. Â
VETRERIA VENIER – Make your own Murano Glass
The hotel arranged for them to pick us up in a boat and take us directly to Murano. This was a fun experience for the whole family as we each got to blow our own glass. It was incredible to watch the glass blowers at work. The artistry is amazing. Â
Gondola Ride
A must! We picked one up near our hotel, but there are so many spots to get one. My kids loved seeing Venice in this way. Our Gondolier was funny, which made it extra fun for the boys. Â
Â
Dining and Shopping in Venice
Plenty of great spots here to eat! Â
Acqua Pazza – We let the boys have a chill night watching Spiderman (the one that’s set in Venice) with room service, while we went on a Venetian date night. Perks for traveling with older kids! Â
Harry’s Bar – Everything was delicious. I had to get a bellini. The birth place of Bellini’s! Â
Colussi Il Fornaio – Loved my crossaint so much, that I went back the next morning. Â
For shopping I loved Jesurum for a gift for my nephew and Botega Cassatti for marbled paper.Â

Venice with Kids
Can’t recommend it enough! There’s no where on earth like it, and I think you never forget your first time… or any time after that. Â
