paper bag c/o Uashmama – cypress tree from Publix
soon won’t be a gummy smile for long. annnnnd tear.
It’s naptime. I think this is the first time they’ve both been napping at the same time, in the same bed since Wes was maybe two months old. Of course one is snoring like an old man (tuck) and one is nursing (wes), and I’m content in this moment. We’ve had some wild nights lately with Wes cutting teeth, and it’s funny how in the midst of it I’m like LORD SEND HELP. CANNOT DO THIS. and right now, after getting a few hours of consistent sleep last night, and they are both napping, I’m all, LORD SEND ME ANOTHER. ha. maybe I have some momnesia. Something that has really got me thinking lately was a forward from my dad after Thanksgiving. It was about having the mindset of “I get to do this” instead of “I have to do this”. So much of motherhood lately can feel like a have-to, when it is really a get-to. These moments with my children are the sum of so many answered prayers. If only I saw it like that all the time!!
Anyway I meant to share this after thanksgiving, but … you know, life with two little ones.
Hope you are all enjoying this season of Christmas.
I am loving experiencing it through my boys eyes.
