A few months ago there were built in bookshelves where the wall is in this photo.  It went over the windows, blocked light, and just didn’t look great to us.  They were not original to the house- so I didn’t feel so poorly having them taken out.  It was like Christmas morning when I came home, saw them gone, and the new paint up.  It opened up the room so much!  Then there was a question of what to do with all of the books.  So I scoured Facebook marketplace, and found this bamboo one.  I also knew we needed a comfy chair, and picked out this one from The Inside.  I love all of the patterns they have!  They pair well with the Ginger Sky Pepper Home curtains.  As always, we have plenty of touches of old and new.  Like the brass duck bookends, the greek key table, the old books vintage tennis racquets – they are all picked up at thrift stores.  As to how I fastened the tennis racquets, I used this tape on the back.  The baseball art is from Brooke & Lou.  I’m still working on this room.  With bedding, a proper rug, and some more art.  But this corner is a good start!
