I know many of us are in reorganization mode. Â I know, I am! Â I’ve been cleaning up, and clearing out. Â With that comes donating. Â Our heirloom items, we set aside for my godson and my nephew. Â Then I try to find a family or a woman locally that may need what we have. Â Bonus if the kids are a little bit younger than mine, so we can continue to give them gently used items. Â Then I give to Hope Family Services. Â And after that, I schedule a free pick up with Salvation Army. Â They’ll come right to your door. Â I usually leave it outside so it can be contactless, with a note and some bottles of waters for the SA workers. Â Where do you like to donate your items to?
Now onto the three spots I reorganized recently …
while it may look like we hoard TP, this has always been our TP situation. Â JB has always on top of that, pre 2020! Â So if you get low, you know where to go (;Â
The linen closet was a disaster. Â Our king bed had 5 different sets of sheets somehow, so we donated two. Â I kept our Boll and Branch, an old set from JC Penney’s that’s impossibly soft, and our RedLand Cotton sheets.
The baskets hold beach towels, towels, linens, etc.
Next up was the boys closet. Â it needed a GOOD clean out. Â The cute little puppy baskets can only be found in Bealls stores. Â So if you’re local, you’re in luck!
This is our “uniform closet” SLASH everything that the boys are up to goes in here. Â Sometimes that’s tennis, golf, baseball, soccer… it’s a landing space. Â I love having everything they need for their current afterschool activities and their uniforms all ready to go. Â I WISH I had a before picture of this space because boy was it wild!
