Wes hopped out of the crib sometime around 18 months. On the lowest setting! I thought it was all over, but he didn’t do it again. Then right around 24 months wes was like: I remember this neat trick!… and could hop out with no problem at all. I blame gymnastics class! haha. We’ve always done bedtime books in tucks bed together, and wes kept saying “I wan tuh” , so one night we just let them sleep together. It had been a couple months that they’ve been doing that. So off the crib went to Heather’s house for her next babydoll due in October. This made for quite a bit of change in our house. We moved the full out of the guest room and into Wesleys room. Since then he is now wanting to sleep in his own room – even though it no longer has drapes. We bought a queen for the guest room and are redoing the room to make it more comfortable for our guests. On top of that we are having a lot of things repaired by a contractor so that we can have the exterior painted. So it’s busy around here house wise! But it’s been so fun to dream up wesleys big boy room.
Here’s some rooms I’ve been inspired by for his room:

I am in love with this headboard! It’s by Roxy at Society Social. I inquired about making one but she does not do fulls – just queens & kings. His room is really too small for anything bigger than a full. Then I thought maybe I’d do a DIY. But I’m not so sure how that would come out!! So I found Gray Owl Home – and she makes them.

I love the look of spindles. And this was a top contender … so maybe I will do this for when I redo Tuck room… this big boy room is having a domino effect! {please pin from original source – nine & sixteen}
I love the vintage American flag in this room, and the old dresser.
