Addison ross lacquer scalloped placemats
I wanted to share a few of my favorite tablescapes Molly and I have been up to this Holiday season! Â Each one is so fun and festive. Â Â Over the last two years almost Molly and I have been enjoying this project of ours. Â I’m excited to see where it will take us in the next year, but I can’t help but look back and be so proud of some beauty we’ve created and put out into the world. Â We always hope we inspire you to be creative with what you have, and make everyone at your table feel special. Â Growing up I really felt that with my mother always elevating a Tuesday night dinner or when she went all out for a birthday dinner.
Here are a few tips on hostessing I’ve learned from watching our mom:
- Â My mom would often say “it’s about them” – your guest of honor. Â Think about their favorite things, foods, drinks- and play off of that.
- My mom always offers anyone something to drink or a snack right off the bat. Â Whether they are coming to fix the dryer or staying for dinner.
- placecards I think put people at ease! Â Most people like knowing where they’ll sit.
- Be creative with what you have. Â My mom is pretty resourceful, and sometimes it’s amazing to see how she reimagines her things.
- Go out in your yard and clip some greenery or flowers. Â My mom is and was always doing this, and her centerpieces still have such a fun (read: not store bought!) look.
- Candlelight always and forever. Â Never underestimate the mood candlelight turns a table into. Â Creates such a cozy feel, instantly.
