Last Thursday was our first official day of Summer! As a reward for tuck getting ALL green lights for the whole school year, we decided to kick off summer at Disney World. I had grand plans of waking them up early and loading them in the car so we could make it to opening at Magic Kingdom. But the boys slept in that morning and I just couldn’t wake them. Instead, we left at leisure that morning. We planned to check into the hotel, and then head to the parks from there. But then we checked into The Four Seasons Orlando! annnnd decided mickey could wait.
I checked in online via their app, requesting an early check in. Once we arrived someone met us at the car to take us right up to our room. I was by myself with the boys (JB came up after work)… so I really appreciated not having to wrangle the boys while I checked in. They had these mini robes and pirate gear for the boys, as well as some candy for each of them. Both of my guys were so excited!
I requested a crib for wesley (via the app), and all of this showed up too!
There are so many favorites to this trip, but I loved this gradual sloping beach entry pool that was only 1ft deep! Both boys loved it and since I was alone that first afternoon, it was nice not being around deep water. While Tuck is an excellent swimmer, wes is just beginning, so it was perfect being at this fun pool.
After we swam and splashed for a few hours, JB arrived, and we went upstairs to get ready for dinner.
We ate at Ravello three times during our stay. It was delicious!! And the staff blew us away. Eating out with my kids is not always fun, but the staff made it so. They anticipated what we needed before we really knew we needed it. A huge plus is that Kids under 5 eat free! Their kids meals are also really good – Tuck ate every bit of the steak/broccoli/mashed potatoes both evenings we ate there.
The Four Seasons Orlando has a kids club, that’s free for kids over 4. You’re also welcome to supervise your child under 4. I let them play in there for an hour one day, and was so impressed with the staff. They were all very engaged! The ratio was 2 children per adult when I was in there.
Tuck loved these for splashing water on people going down the lazy river. Also have to note that you can pretty easily avoid them if you are on the lazy river and don’t want to get splashed.
my boys loved the lazy river. Tuck mostly swam down it though he could touch the bottom, but wes was happy in the float. I generally walked unless he wanted to be in my lap floating.

there is also a whole area of outdoor family toys. Corn hole, chess, and fooseball. 
This is the big pool we actually never swam in! We were going to one night while they had movie night but there had been lightning and thunder, so it was canceled. It’s huge, with tons of lounge seating, and cabanas. There’s also an adults only pool… which we didn’t get to on this trip.

While there are cabanas by the larger pool for rent, there are plenty of covered comfortable seating that you don’t have to pay extra for. Like these hanging teepees, and covered little pods. The poolside service was excellent. I got up to change wesley once, and came back to my cover up folded, our shoes straightened in a row, and fresh water on the side table. We had lunch by the pool twice — which was so convenient.
We had room service one morning. JB and I split the Chicken and Waffles, and the boys had french toast and fruit. We also ordered on the app the night before, set the time for delivery, and it was there on the minute.

On Friday afternoon while Wes was napping, Tuck and I snuck away to the Magic Kingdom. We have the weekday annual passes, and June 1st was our final day to use them until August due to blackout dates. We used the Four Seasons bus, which was comfy and had Frozen playing. After going through bag check and security, Tuck told me “I love that part! It’s my favorite – all those police mickeys!!”. LOL. I decided to not book our fast passes until we were there. Which worked out well. When Tuck told me he wanted to go on the train, we just hopped on and didn’t worry about missing our fast passes. We rode to Fantasy Land – met Goofy and Donald at Pete’s Sideshow, rode Dumbo, The Barnstormer, and went on the speedway. We got fast passes on the spot for everything, one right after the other. Then we went back on the monorail and caught the bus. This is why I love having the annual passes – you don’t feel bad that you’re not staying all day there. For $200 for the year, it has been worth it. 
Saturday Morning we had Breakfast with Goofy. The breakfast was delicious, and the characters weren’t hurried at all. It was also very easy to get a reservation, just a quick call, and we got our first choice reservation time.
We loved Lickety Split, their gelato and coffee bar!

The whole Four Seasons Orlando experience was truly incredible! While there is no denying it is a pricey treat, with their current promotion (4th night free) it ends up being right around the same price (or less!) of The Contemporary, Polynesian, or The Grand Floridian. Plus perks like a kids club and kids eat free!
