The most searched for post on this blog is about our staircase gallery wall. When we moved in, the entire house was a total wreck, but I made sure to put this up right away. Most of these are all of my favorite prints / photos / things from our other house. Some of these pieces you’ll notice from Tucks nautical nursery. I free handed this when I put them up one afternoon … which you can tell b/c most are pretty wonkyjawed. There are moments I think it looks kinda juvenile, and I should upgrade to some sort of set. But at the end of the day, three years later, I still really love this wall. I’ve tried to add more of wesley… and a few have fallen off thanks to little people getting taller and using them to balance climbing stairs or some have found another spot (like my parents wedding vows which are now downstairs next to their wedding photo).  I like that it isn’t all one thing, but a mixture of treasured photos, objects with some meaning to us, art work, and meaningful quotes/words.
The photos ….
Some of my most treasured ones (taken by (by Jessica Lorren and Shannon Kirsten) are up on this wall.  I just love these priceless photos to bits.
There are not many matching frames on this wall. Most are target threshold throughout the years, pottery barn, or framebridge.
There are maternity photos, wedding photos, my favorite photo of JB in college with a bunch of little boys with their hands on their hearts singing the national anthem, photos of my children and lola … instagram photos printed by framebridge. a big mix!
The objects …Â
the letter T, which I spray painted gold a loooong time ago. It is from Anthropologie, though I’ve seen similar at hobby lobby lately.
I bought this board – I know it has a proper name but the word escapes me (maybe you can help me out with that!) , right after we married at pottery barn some 8 years ago. I can’t remember what I even stored in it. I have always collected my favorite shells, oysters, sea glass, and coral while on beaches. So I glued these to this board a while back. The shells/coral/oysters are from Anna Maria Island, and our trip to Little Dix Bay.
The coral sea fan is from our trip to Little Dix Bay. I found it one day while we were snorkeling off dog island on an island we were the only ones on! it was truly one of the best days. You can find coral sea fans on etsy, and I just love the look of them.
The brass “sea urchin” was something I found at furbish years ago.
The artwork …
I have quotes/sayings from Juliet Grace Designs, and Oh my Deer. I also have one “love never fails” from Southern Weddings shop, but it doesn’t seem to be in print right now.
Teil Duncan (who I did an interview with here) is one of my favorite artists. I just love love love her work. I bought this print right around the same time we moved in here.
Eden W. Flora sent me this adorable illustration of wesleys little onesie from when he was just a little thing.
So there you have it (:Â Let me know if you have any questions!
oh and ps:Â this is at the very top!
