Last week Molly and I traveled to Charleston, SC to stay at The Charleston Place for a little sister vacation… or sister-cation (:. Â I had stayed there last year with my sons in June for a Garden & Gun feature they did. Â We had a great week in Charleston with the kids. Â There’s a ton of history and activities to do. They have a great aquarium, that we took a rickshaw to but you could also walk from Charleston Place. Â Their favorite thing we did on that trip was visiting Patriot’s Point. Â Had the best time there!
Last year we were randomly upgraded to Club Level, and it was such a nice treat. Â Since then though the hotel has changed hands, and I can tell the new brand is really breathing in some fresh air into The Charleston Place.
The location of the Charleston Place couldn’t be better. Â You are steps away from some of the best shopping – even inside Charleston Place! Â Then you can walk right out into King Street, and do some more shopping. Â I think Charleston has some of the best shopping in the world. Â Which made it an ideal girls trip for us! Â
Inside the hotel is a beautiful rooftop pool, with a retractable glass ceiling. Â I loved working from the rooftop in the mornings. Â It’s so peaceful, and the weather was great while we were there. Â Â Â
Lots of fun programming is happening at The Charleston Place! Â They had artist Meredith Wing painting in the lobby inside a gorgeous greenhouse. Â It was so fun to get to meet her, and see her process. Â Each week in May they have a different artist in the lobby, so if you’re in town, you should absolutely pop in.
Molly and I had fun taking out their Linus Bikes that are available to check out at the front desk. Â Biking is such a fun way to explore Charleston! Â But I think a Moke is the best!
You can now rent a Moke at The Charleston Place. Â All you have to do is download the app, check in with your license, and check the car out. Â We drove South of Broad, and practically drooled the whole time.

We loved booking a room on the Club Level. Â It was so nice to get snacks, champagne, and light bites throughout our stay. Â That was the ultimate treat-yourself!
There are several spots to eat on property! Â I love the vibe of the thoroughbred club. Â Great spot to grab a drink or lunch/dinner. Â The Palmetto Cafe is beautiful, and a delicious spot worth the hype! Â Â
Views from the room can’t be beat! Â So glad we got to spend a couple days shopping, eating the best food, and meeting up with friends! Â Thank you to The Charleston Place for inviting us up!
