You may not keep up with the bachelorette like I do (guilty pleasure- hides head in shame) and maybe it sounds cheesy but it’s true- I have been touched by one of this years contestants, Eric. He passed away this year but left an incredible legacy behind him. I found myself sobbing over all he did and the way he lived. He truly lived each day like it was his last. Now I don’t plan on going sky diving or anything but I just plan on being a little more fun this summer. Last sunday I went deep sea fishing, something I’d usually just tell JB to go with his buddies … because, because, because we’d be gone all day! what if I get sea sick (side note: I’ve never been seasick)! who will watch Tuck! But then after grandma volunteered to watch Tuck, hearing how excited JB was over getting me a fishing license, and being reminded of how Eric lived; I thought why not?! And we didn’t catch anything worth keeping but I had the best time with my husband! Especially swimming in the middle of the ocean with him.
So thanks Eric for inspiring me! I won’t be doing any adrenaline junkie type things but I just want to live a full life, and I’ll start with summer for now.
