I figured I’d start with the stage I’m currently in. Â That 6-9 age group. Â They are reading, honing their interests, and the games you can play as a family get really fun. Â Which makes buying gifts pretty fun too!
Some standouts:
This year we are looking into this outdoor glamping tent to replace their “seen better days” playhouse. Â I think between that and our swing set, they’ll have lots of backyard adventures with their friends.
I don’t love that so many coding things you have to use a screen, but I’ve heard Osmo is great for kids. Â So we may dip our toes into that.
We have become those people that really like Settlers of Catan. Â I think the 10+ is better than the one for kids -and every kid I’ve played with keeps up. Â So I’d probably start with that if you’re kids are closer to 10 than 5.
The tonies have me super intrigued. Â Love that it’s screen free!
My kids are very into all things army. Â John is especially intrigued by the Sergeant Stubby story which has him learning and looking up all things World War I and II. Â We love this cute book!
