Review of the Charleston Place in South Carolina

Last week Molly and I traveled to Charleston, SC to stay at The Charleston Place for a little sister vacation… or sister-cation (:.  I had stayed there last year with my sons in June for a Garden & Gun feature they did.  We had a great week in Charleston with the kids.  There’s a ton of history and activities to do. They have a great aquarium, that we took a rickshaw to but you could also walk from Charleston Place.  Their favorite thing we did on that trip was visiting Patriot’s Point.  Had the best time there!

Last year we were randomly upgraded to Club Level, and it was such a nice treat.  Since then though the hotel has changed hands, and I can tell the new brand is really breathing in some fresh air into The Charleston Place.

The location of the Charleston Place couldn’t be better.  You are steps away from some of the best shopping – even inside Charleston Place!  Then you can walk right out into King Street, and do some more shopping.  I think Charleston has some of the best shopping in the world.  Which made it an ideal girls trip for us!

Inside the hotel is a beautiful rooftop pool, with a retractable glass ceiling.  I loved working from the rooftop in the mornings.  It’s so peaceful, and the weather was great while we were there.

Lots of fun programming is happening at The Charleston Place!  They had artist Meredith Wing painting in the lobby inside a gorgeous greenhouse.  It was so fun to get to meet her, and see her process.  Each week in May they have a different artist in the lobby, so if you’re in town, you should absolutely pop in.

Molly and I had fun taking out their Linus Bikes that are available to check out at the front desk.  Biking is such a fun way to explore Charleston!  But I think a Moke is the best!

You can now rent a Moke at The Charleston Place.  All you have to do is download the app, check in with your license, and check the car out.  We drove South of Broad, and practically drooled the whole time.

We loved booking a room on the Club Level.  It was so nice to get snacks, champagne, and light bites throughout our stay.  That was the ultimate treat-yourself!

There are several spots to eat on property!  I love the vibe of the thoroughbred club.  Great spot to grab a drink or lunch/dinner.  The Palmetto Cafe is beautiful, and a delicious spot worth the hype!

Views from the room can’t be beat!  So glad we got to spend a couple days shopping, eating the best food, and meeting up with friends!  Thank you to The Charleston Place for inviting us up!
