On the day before one, you don’t walk, you run.

you hug me. the sweetest and tightest hugs of my life.

you belly laugh over just the way Lola looks.

you climb in and out of your truckie.

you walk around with a ball and say the word over and over.  bawwwwl. pawwwl.  balllll.

you pucker your lips and blow kisses.

you get soooooo excited when you see daddy home from work.

you leap out of my arms when your grandparent’s come around.  or sometimes strangers with their arms out … 

you clap clap clap when we say “yay tuck!”

you still love a game of peekaboo

you say “weee weeee wee” when you play with your trucks

you would never get out of the bath if you had it your way.  

you are so precious tuck.  i can’t believe God entrusted you to us.  

cue a million bittersweet tears.
