Tuck was diagnosed with bronchitis (aint nobody got time for bronchitis), and so here we are staying home from school today. Poor baby is just finally feeling better, and broke his fever this morning. It’s always such a good feeling when that happens. Just the worst seeing them all puny and pitiful.
I shared a little video on stories yesterday of my Valentine’s Day workshop, and so I figured I’d show you what we decided on for each. I also have to say that when tuck first started school at three years old, I had exactly none of my life together. Not that putting together gifts means you do! Wes was a baby, and I’m pretty sure my gifts were weird, if I even gave a gift at all. So if you’re in that season where you just couldn’t care less about this kinda stuff. Don’t worry at all. But if you’d like some last minute Valentine ideas, here you go!
The boys wanted to decorate some cookies for our neighbors, and so I took the easy road out and bought the pre made sugar cookies from target. They’re in the Valentine section, and we also used some sprinkles we already had. I am in love with their little minted aprons!
while tuck was sick yesterday we assembled and wrote our valentine’s cards/ little treat bags. If you still need valentine’s you can have them digitally made by Tricia Lowenfield. One idea I considered was then having the digital file put on a shindigz lollipop. You can also get Valentine’s expedited through tomorrow over on Minted with code FEBSHIP19.
I bought these adorable heart sand buckets in the target dollar section, and just couldn’t resist them. The boys and I picked up some things from the dollar store and the $1 spot at target to fill for god siblings and a few other close friends. I love these adorable minted tags (c/o) we had made for teachers and a few clients. The back has a picture of both boys and I put love: the tucker brothers. For the teachers we are giving them some honest sanitizer and a starbucks giftcard. I got a lot of feedback on my stories about how I save our teachers starbucks orders in my notes on my phone. I don’t hit up starbucks very often anymore, but when I do I love to grab the teachers orders too. If you are looking for something easy and appreciated by teachers, that would be a great Valentine’s Day gift to them. Just email them or ask them in passing for their order, if you don’t have their preferences yet.
And for some of my husbands clients who are widowed or single, I am making some bouquets for them next week and using this tag to top it off.
And again, if this makes me look like in any way shape or form I have my stuff together, I assure you I don’t. It’s sort of my “job” to be up on holidays, and so I don’t really stop thinking about all of this.
Hope this gave you a few ideas (:
