By now you’ve heard me talk about The Defined Dish cookbook and blog, one million times. She was a lifesaver the first time we attempted whole30. So when she came out with a cookbook, I was the first to preorder a copy on amazon. I just love her healthy attitude toward food in general. Not everything in the cookbook is Whole30, but it’s all DELICIOUS. Somehow she just nails it every single time. I love that she’s not a classically trained chef, but just someone who has always loved to be in the kitchen creating. She’s one of my favorite people to follow on instagram, her joy is infectious. She’s also honest about her struggle with anxiety and how food can help keep that at bay. What I really love is each recipe shows what it’s good for – it’ll list out Gluten free, dairy free, whole30, etc … so it makes cooking for someone with sensitivity a lot easier.
Here are my favorites that everyone in my family enjoys:
If something has cayenne or a spice that’s hot in it, I just skip it or add a dash in after I serve the boys plates.
My favorites from the cookbook:
whole30 chicken tenders
curry tuna cakes
green curry
crispy slow cooker carnitas
Chicken Saltimbocca Roll-Ups
all of her taco recipes
whole30 chicken fried steak with cauliflower
paleo chili pie
Mexican chicken and rice
grain free chicken no-parmesan
These are some of my favorite kitchen items I use almost everyday. and here’s some fave non-perishables.
Honestly, there hasn’t been a bad recipe yet. We are working our way through the cookbook, and can’t wait to have tried them all!
