This fresh fern summer centerpiece from from our latest tablescape makes me happy! We were trying to keep it tropical and beachy – and let the dogwood hill menu/placecards take the lead on where this table was going to go. Next time you don’t want to use fresh flowers, look around your yard. We plucked these ferns out of my front porch ferns, to make the centerpiece and put them in vases. One of the best things about using ferns instead of flowers, is they last so long in water. I enjoyed these for at least a week after. My love for ferns is pretty intense! I think a southern home isn’t complete without some. We have them indoors and outdoors. Lush and green, they bring a sense of life to every space. They also are great for adding to arrangements. Almost always if I need more greenery, I’ll pluck some of these. Fern are a great choice. They are beautiful, versatile, and easy to care for. Whether you’re looking to add a touch of natural beauty to your home or create a stunning centerpiece for a special occasion, ferns are sure to make your dinner guests smile. I even put some in our rental
ps: We’re wearing the Lake Pajamas Caftan and the brunch dress with Susan Shaw jewelry.
A couple FAQ’s for when I share my dining room:
Check out our dining room details here.
Our heron artwork can be found here.
Our rug is from Homegoods a few years ago and is a Lauren Ralph Lauren one.
Our chandelier is from Ballard Designs with these shades.
Our table is from a thrift store (consignment house in St. Pete, FL). Found it for under $300 including the 8 chairs. I had them recovered locally at Rosier Upholstery.
