Weekend in Flovilla, Georgia

copper tubthis copper tub!  original to the house that we stayed in… it was built in 1913.

I loved the wraparound front porch!

{I wore a camilyn beth gown (you may remember it from this home tour post) to the wedding with these target shoes and anthropologie earrings that are sold out but these are similar from etsy.

The boys sweaters are from the horseshoe crab (c/o)  in savannah – they have so many cute items!  }

My cousin married her high school sweetheart this weekend in Flovilla, Georgia. Soon after my cousin got engaged she asked me to be her photographer.  I told her I am in no way qualified, but if she wanted me to I would.  I have a renewed respect for wedding photographers!  Hopefully I got the shots she wanted!  The whole weekend was soo much fun!  Especially for the kids.  Beginning with the rehearsal dinner that was Hogwarts theme.  I’ve never seen Harry Potter, but they really killed it on the decor.  The area was beautiful and we rented the cutest house — the McMichael House. .  If you are looking for a wedding venue outside of Atlanta, I can’t recommend this spot enough.   The antebellum home where they had their ceremony and reception was so beautiful.   It’s right next to Indian Springs State park, which we explored a little bit Friday afternoon.  There’s also a couple little shops — an ice cream shop, a general store, a place to rent kayaks, antique stores, a beautiful botanical garden, a restaurant, and  an adorable antique/farmhouse style store called The Painted Nest.  Flovilla would be a fun spot for a weekend trip!  I loved it this time of year with everything in bloom.  I pretty much acted like I had never seen a flower before.  It was heavenly.
