{Thank you Walt Disney World Resort for hosting us!}
This was Tuck and I’s second time experiencing Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. Wesley and JB’s first time! It was so fun to do it as a family. I really wanted to do family costumes, and even texted one of my best friends asking if she’d still be my friend if we did… haha. But seeing as it was August, Halloween items hadn’t been put out yet at my target. So us adults just wore normal clothes, and the boys were Dash and baby Jack Jack from The Incredibles. Next year we are definitely doing family costumes – Giving y’all fair warning (:
If you’ve never heard of the party, it’s a specially ticketed event. They kick everyone out of the park without a party wristband at 7pm. But you can get in with your ticket as early as 4pm. You can trick or treat there – and really load up on candy. You can meet special characters that you don’t see other nights. And you can ride a ton of rides in a short amount of time, because wait times tend to be way shorter. JB loves these specially ticketed events – and I do too – it’s a great way to experience a (generally!) less crowded Disney. The closer you get to Halloween, the higher the crowds will be. So going early is really worth it in my opinion… if you can get into the spirit! They pass out regular treat bags, or allergy bags. I love how Disney accommodates those with allergies so well.
We got there right around 5:30, and since we had our wristbands, they ushered us to the right of main street down a pathway where you can grab your bags. The boys then asked every person they saw “excuse me, have you seen the under miner?” … Which is the villain in The Incredibles 2. It cracked me up. They loved seeing so many people dressed up as characters from The Incredibles, and everything else too. We did not see the under miner – though I bet he appeared somewhere! A little girl even asked to take a picture with Dash, and it MADE HIS DAY. Tuck was in character 100% of the night.
We had a pre fixe dinner at Be Our Guest. Which was a fun experience! Though next year I plan to just grab something quick before we even enter the gates of Magic Kingdom, so we can maximize our time before bedtime. At Be Our Guest they had an area where you can meet The Beast. Wes was not having it but the workers at Disney do such a great job at making them feel comfortable. They had him feel his costume and how soft it was … by the end of the time he was hugging him!
They also had villains roaming around the park interacting with guests. She came up to the boys and asked them if they had seen any spotted doggies and will they go find her some. The boys were like “Mom! she lost her dogs, let’s go look for spotted doggies for her!” … I think we may need to watch 101 dalmations. haha
also you better believe they asked Cruella where the under miner was.
As you can see, there was hardly anyone on the Carousel … we walked onto every ride we went on.
We met up with friends from school and the boys had a blast going on rides with their friends and watching the parade together.
we finished the night at 10:15! The latest these guys have ever stayed up. With a fun fireworks show especially for the party.

We stayed at Wilderness Lodge, and absolutely loved it! I will share a post about it soon. Thanks again to Walt Disney for inviting us!
