{Thank you to Walt Disney World for inviting us up and providing tickets!}

I love two things SO much. Christmas and Disney! So when those two things combine, there is no wiping the smile off of my face. I was so excited to head up there for a night of festive fun at Mickey’s Verry Merry Christmas Party. The last time we went the boys were 2 & 4 – which is mind boggling to me. Just little babes! What a difference two years makes.
Here are my tips if you go:
- If you can swing it (I know it’s harder to do with school) go on a school night, there is less likely of a crowd.
- You can get in at 4pm with your ticket but the magic doesn’t really start until later. I think this is an amazing way to experience the Magic Kingdom during the holidays. While no you don’t get a full day, you’ll walk on a lot of rides, see festive performances, watch the best (in my opinion) parade, and see a special fireworks show.
- Try to have a game plan. You can find maps online, of what is open, and what is offered where. Map out which treats you want, if there are any special characters you’d like to see, what parade time, where you’d like to be during fireworks, and which rides to go on …
- Speaking of rides – there are ones not to miss with a little festive twist! Those are the Jingle Cruise, Mad Hatters Tea Party, there’s a dance party in dumbos play circus with Disney Jr characters, and space mountain.
- Rides were considerably less wait times. It took us 30 minutes to get on mine train – and it was JB and Wesleys first time.
- If you arrive at 4pm, you’ll get a wristband for the party right away. But if you have tickets for the day, you’ll find wrist distribution areas throughout. So you don’t have to go back to the front if you don’t want to just to get a wristband.
- I recommend someone grabbing a seat about 20-30 minutes for the family for the parade. I got us a great parade spot while the boys went on It’s a Small World.
- Don’t miss the parade! it’s my favorite !
- If you have little ones that would like to see princesses, they have the princesses with their prince.
It’s such a great family time! Thank you Walt Disney World!
