school lunch ideas

Yesterday on instastories I mentioned being stuck in a school lunch rut.  It was easier when it was just snacks (like the above post) but now with lunch I find it’s hard to make something that will still be appealing by noon.   As usual y’all gave me so many ideas, and now I’m following a dozen lunchbox instagrams.  I wanted to share that info with you, as I had a bunch ask for that.  Also, the above plastic bento boxes didn’t really work for us.  They were a quick fix as they didn’t seal after a while.  I thought the Bentgo boxes were going to be good for us, but we had a mold issue.  And now I’m back to the our old standby Lunchbot …  They are easy to clean and worth the investment since we’ve been using them for two years now. I’ve heard Planetbox is SO good, and I’m tempted but $80 is holding me back.  We have Igloo lunch boxes, and Heather just gave Tuck one of the PBkids one.  It keeps food cold and is a good size – and all of the lunch boxes are on sale right now – so I scooped one up for wesley this fall.  I love these Stephen Joseph ice packs to toss in their to help keep it cool.  I also love these cute bento food picks, I mentioned in my fave amazon for kids post!

Anyway, here is what people shared with me yesterday!  Thanks to everyone who reached out!  Some aren’t solely kids lunch boxes, but overall healthy foods with some kids lunch box ideas in there.

Hope this gives you some good ideas to tide you over until Summer!
