Spring is in the air! I always love getting out my springtime plates and tablescape pieces this time of the year. The soft colors and springy designs are such a welcomed change after the winter months. Today I’m excited to share the new AERIN for Williams Sonoma spring plate and table collection. It is full of pieces that make my blue and green-loving heart sing! Molly and I had so much fun putting this one together!

About These Springtime Plates

The AERIN Collection for Williams Sonoma was designed in collaboration with style icon Aerin Lauder. I have loved following along with Aerin for years, and I am a fan of everything she designs. This collection is no exception! It is full of blues, greens, rattan, and florals…basically, my love language!

Not only does AERIN’s collection include springtime plates, glasses, platters, and flatware, but it also includes everything else you need to set a beautiful spring tablescape. There are scalloped napkins, braided placemats, a candle, and a stunning outdoor furniture collection that coordinates perfectly. The entire catalogue is what warm-weather dining dreams are made of!

Floral Springtime Plates

Out of all of the pieces in this collection, the springtime plates are quite possibly my favorite. The pretty blue and green floral print is such a classic. Back in 2018, JB actually surprised me with a set of AERIN for Williams Sonoma plates as a Mother’s Day gift, which was so sweet and thoughtful. These quickly became our everyday plates, and we still use them regularly in our home! The blue and green spring plates in this year’s collection are just as beautiful as my previous set. They would also make a lovely Mother’s Day gift, if you’re starting to do some shopping!

How to Decorate a Spring Table

The good news is that decorating a table with these springtime plates is super easy thanks to the fact that everything in the collection pairs perfectly with them! Of course, I always like to add some personal touches as well. But first, here are some of my favorite AERIN pieces to pair with these plates.

Braided Woven Charger

One of the easiest ways to make a spring plate even more beautiful is to place it on top of a pretty charger. These braided woven chargers are honestly perfect. They will look great on any spring or summer table!

Blue Scalloped Napkins

I’ve never met a scalloped design I could resist. These come in this pretty shade of blue or an equally as lovely shade of green. I love that these can be used year-round. They would look great paired with browns in the fall.

Braided Woven Napkin Ring

You can decorate the napkins with these classic braided napkin rings. Once again, the neutral woven fibers will match everything this spring and summer.

Bamboo Flatware

I recommend pairing this bamboo flatware with the springtime plates and napkins for an added layer of depth. In my opinion, bamboo accents are as timeless as cabbage ware in the spring and summer months.

Swirl Goblets

These swirl goblets are the perfect piece to complete a spring table. They are simple, but elevated and classy. You can choose between a red or blue hand-painted rim, and the design also comes in a wine glass.

Spring Tablescape Accents

In addition to the springtime plates and dinnerware, I also like to add a few special touches to any tablescape. My goal is always to make the space feel welcoming, personal, and comfortable for my guests. I think it’s fun to be creative and think outside of the box when it comes to tablescape ideas. You could throw on a soothing dinner playlist or even use a ziplock bag to turn a rattan vase into a flower vase! The possibilities are endless!

Growing up, my mom was always going out in the yard to clip fresh flowers and greenery for centerpieces. And now, I find myself doing the same. It gives the table such a fun look! For this spring table, we placed the flowers in this beautiful blue fluted vase

I am also a big advocate for having placecards and the menu displayed on the table. I think knowing where you will sit and what will be served helps put guests at ease. For this spring table, Laura Adison Designs created the paper goods, and she knocked it out of the park! Be sure to also check out the additional tablescape and hostess tips that I’ve shared in the past as well.

Using Springtime Plates Outdoors

One of my favorite things to do when the weather is nice is to dine al fresco. The springtime plates from this collection are the perfect design to be used for dining both inside and outside. And not only did AERIN and Williams Sonoma design these tableware pieces, but they also created the most beautiful outdoor furniture collection. The pieces are made from a stunning all-weather resin wicker and rust-resistant metal frames, making them as functional as they are glamorous. This wicker sofa, outdoor dining table, and braided wicker chairs are a few of my favorites.
